STEM Ambassador VISIT

On Friday 27th January some of our Year 10 students met with a STEM ambassador from BAE Systems. Lucy gave a short presentation about her career route after leaving school and gave the students an insight into the day-to-day training of an engineering apprentice. The students asked a wide variety of questions and engaged in a discussion about the importance of STEM apprenticeships and college courses. Hopefully this may inspire some to consider a future in a STEM based career.

“I enjoyed this. I would like more talks like this as it gives me a wider view of the jobs that are available.” (Dyari)

“It is really useful to find out about different apprenticeships and courses.” (Leighton)

“I loved it because we got to ask many questions.” (Tayba)

“I liked the way she explained how to find apprenticeships.” (Praise)

“It was a useful presentation for me, and I would love to take part in more of them to learn more about work.” (Abdul)

“It was useful to get an insight into other jobs.” (Toby)

“I enjoyed this session. I would like to meet more people that have taken the apprenticeship route but for different careers.” (Mariam)
