We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher to join our excellent, supportive and well-resourced PE department. This post is suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement.
You will be a reflective classroom practitioner with the ability to work effectively within a team environment and able to enthuse, inspire and motivate pupils.

Science Technician
WORKING PATTERN: 20 hrs per week Ideally 8am – 12.00noon Monday to Friday - This is negotiable
CONTRACT TYPE: Term Time Only Permanent Position
SALARY: Grade D pt 6-11 £25,989 - £28,142 (for full time full year) Actual Salary approx £11,747 – 12,720

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to work under the guidance of senior technician/head of science and within an agreed system of supervision, to provide comprehensive technician support service for staff and students undertaking the science curriculum. You will ensure efficient preparation and organisation of materials for science practical work and test experiments and demonstrations prior to delivery to ensure safety and effectiveness. You will uphold health and safety standards in relation to experimental work, providing guidance available in risk assessments and conduct regular laboratory safety checks.
You will ideally have previous experience working in an educational setting and experience working in a laboratory or scientific environment would be desirable. You will be able to organise and prioritise a demanding workload and have an enthusiastic and positive. You will be proactive, creative and resourceful with service provision, embracing technology and new ways of working.
