JOURNÉE DE LA CULTURE
Pupils from Smithills School will present their next musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, from Monday, November 25th, to Wednesday, November 27th. A much-loved family favourite, this magical fairytale musical features many well-known and much-loved songs, including ‘Be Our Guest’ and ‘Tale as Old as Time’. The cast also features popular characters, including Mrs Potts, Lumiere, and Cosgworth, all made famous by the 1991 animated film.

La journée est née en réponse à ce que nos élèves de nombreux groupes d'âge ont demandé.

The cast of around 60 pupils from all year groups have been learning their lines, and practising their singing and dancing. Ella Sadikeen, a Year 11 pupil, has taken charge of choreography this year, bringing all the wonderful songs to life with lots of exciting choreography. Andy Milthorpe, Head of Faculty for Performing Arts and PE states, ‘We give our pupils a vast range of opportunities within the performing arts each academic year, I am always exceptionally proud of every pupil that takes a leading role both on and off stage’.
