KULTURTAG
Pupils from Smithills School presented Disney’s Beauty and the Beast musical from Monday, November 25th, to Wednesday, November 27th. A much-loved family favourite, this magical fairytale musical features many well-known and much-loved songs, including ‘Be Our Guest’ and ‘Tale as Old as Time’. The cast also features popular characters, including Mrs Potts, Lumiere, and Cosgworth, all made famous by the 1991 animated film.
Tagsüber thematisierten die Mitarbeiter auch Unterrichtseinheiten zum Thema Identität.
Der Tag entstand als Reaktion auf die Forderungen unserer Schüler aus vielen Jahrgängen. Es ist eine Weiterentwicklung unserer Reaktion auf den Hasstag letztes Jahr um diese Zeit.

Ella Sadikeen, a Year 11 pupil, took charge of choreography this year, bringing all the wonderful songs to life with lots of exciting choreography. Andy Milthorpe, Head of Faculty for Performing Arts and PE, states, ‘We give our pupils a wide range of opportunities within the performing arts each academic year. I am always exceptionally proud of every pupil that takes a leading role both on and off stage.’
