We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to be responsible for staff cover arrangements (including the monitoring of all staff absence ) and rooming for the school.  You will liaise with external supply staff agencies to co-ordinate external supply, managing a large supply/cover budget, minimising cost yet maintaining appropriate cover and standards of teaching within school.  The role will require you to liaise with Senior Leaders to plan events/update the whole school calendar ensuring there are no clashes of staffing, rooming, resources and there is minimal impact on pupils.  You will record and maintain all absence / training records via the management information systems.

You will have experience of development, management and operation of administrative systems, strong numeracy/literacy skills and good organising, planning and prioritising skills.  You will have the ability to act quickly and decisively under pressure and time constraints and be able to communicate clearly and concisely.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate who will make an effective contribution to pupil first aid and additionally be able to deal with limited wider health services for a few pupils who attend school with a healthcare plan.   The postholder will respond to individuals who are unwell or who may require first aid and duties include medication management when needed. (Suitable training would be given).  You will liaise with the Authority, Health Authority, assigned School Nurse and staff to ensure that appropriate medical checks/inoculation programmes, etc., are carried out effectively.  You will also maintain a record of children with specific health problems and liaising with pastoral staff and parents as appropriate

You will be able to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team, be adaptable, well organised and self motivated. You will have the ability to prioritise tasks and have an awareness of Health & Safety issues.  You will hold a current First Aid Certificate and be willing to upgrade qualifications as appropriate.
