ARTSMARK GOLD
We are delighted to be awarded Artsmark Gold Award from the Arts Council England for our contribution and work within the arts.
Artsmark is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by the Arts Council England. At Smithills School we consistently place creativity and wellbeing at the heart of our arts curriculum and wider curriculum.
Our pupils have contributed to this award through their dedication, commitment and work within the classroom and in events outside of school such as Dance, Rock Band and Music Competitions and Performances through to leading on school productions and having a voice on their arts curriculum.
Mr Milthorpe, Head of Faculty for Performing Arts and PE said, ‘We are exceptionally proud of what our pupils have achieved and continue to achieve within the arts, they continue to take great pride in their work and contribution to the arts’.
