Smithills is a large improving multicultural school.  We achieved Performing Arts College re-designation in October 2007 and Arts Mark Gold Award in 2009.  Contextually results at KS3 and KS4 show significant progress being made by all pupils.  The school’s Brass Band and Concert Band are World Champions.  We are a fully Extended School enjoying high quality facilities including a state of the art Community Sports Centre and purpose built Dance and Drama studios
